SUPER is an exercise in imagination and pushing back. From the introduction:

"As I recently gazed in awe at one particular cover that was not only sexist, but so damn unoriginal in its sexism, I had a thought: I could probably draw one hundred lady super heroes and villains without resorting to a regurgitated playboy bunny. I decided to take up that challenge and started sketching. It’s an exercise for character building and a fresh way to practice my art. I’m pushing my own creative limits with this template I love so much, and you’re holding the first results of this ongoing experiment.

Although the thought started with women supers, expect the gender category to be a flexible one. The point is to test myself, to push back against all the normative body standards of the genre, and to share with you, reader so awesome, my puny thoughts on how things are and how things might be better in this big huge beloved genre of ours."
